  1. The perception of the conflict in Germany is quite “red” so to say. The honorable Die Zeit compared the Abhisit government even with butchers.

Not much hope for these professors to really know what’s going on here – besides the usual wishful analysis. Luckily you’re among them!

  2. Thanks for the kind words, Jon!

Our main objective was to increase the awareness about Thailand in the German academic and public space. There has been not a single working paper or an event like in London on this subject (even though there is an academic conference on Thai politics in Trier next weekend, which I’ll attend) – and it is horrendously underreported in the German media – we hope to change a little bit about that status quo! :)

We’re planning to do an audio record of the event and post it on our institute’s website, but I’ll sure do a written summary of it! ;)

  3. Congrats, you certainly seem to be amongst distinguished guests – two doctors and a professor.

Am sure you will do so, but a translated overview and youtube videos would be interesting for viewers in Thailand.
